Umm. OK. Do you think Mike Tanier put a lot of thought into this:

"This may not be a true 'need' pick, but Glenn just looks like a Cowboys lineman. He's huge, he's ornery, and he is great at blocking straight ahead. That's just how Jerry Jones likes 'em."

I don't know Tanier, nor do I think I've read much of his NFL analysis, but offensive line is as much of a need as any other position for the Cowboys. And I also thought the Cowboys were dumping all the "huge," "ornery" and "blocking straight ahead" linemen (Leonard Davis, Marc Columbo, Kyle Kosier) for more smaller, athletic guys?

Glenn's not been in any other mocks going to the Cowboys and in some instances he's not in the first round despite being graded as the second-best guard in the draft. If David DeCastro goes in the low-teens and the Cowboys opt for offensive line, they'll go here. Good news: He's had a lot of opportunities in blocking NFL-ready talent in the SEC and would move to guard (he played left tackle at Georgia) in the NFL.

Nothing's changed in a week for these guys. For the record, they have Fletcher Cox, the defensive lineman from Mississippi State, going to the Rams at six and DeCastro to the Chiefs at 11. Cordy Glenn's going high-teens or 20s.

Ironically, what Cosell points out as strengths for Barron (ability to cover in the slot, tight ends) I've read elsewhere as weaknesses. Someone's lying to me. Odd also because he has DeCastro and Glenn falling to Nos. 18 and 19, respectively. If DeCastro is there at 14, I think the Cowboys grab him. Just a gut feeling.

Seems to indicate that Barron has character issues. I haven't read that, but that doesn't mean it's not true. Another reason the Cowboys might go outside of the secondary: Chances are they'll take one or two corners in the second, third or fourth rounds.
