High-percentageOne thing they really haven't had is a big win. Lost opening day to Miami in a Finals re-match. Are 1-3 against Oklahoma City. Lost the the Los Angeles Lakers just before All-Star weekend and lost to New Jersey coming out of it. They are 1-1 against the San Antonio Spurs, before tonight.
Nowhere was there a signature win. One of those games where it gets everyone's attentions. Granted, the Mavericks haven't been that good.
Tonight, they were pretty good beating San Antonio 106-99 at the American Airlines Center. They not only beat the best team in the Southwest Division, but beat them pretty bad. Outrebounded (48-35) the Spurs, hit the paint (25 free-throw attempts), which opened up the three-point shot (11 for the game). The free throws were the key as the Spurs hit 11 three pointers and shot 50 percent. The Spurs had their opportunities to take this and they didn't.

1. Dirk Nowitzki knocked down 27. Averages 21 against Spurs in his career.
2. Lamar Odom: 1-7 FGs.
3. Brandan Wright with a very efficient eight points and nine rebounds in 19 rebounds.
4. Jason Terry had 17. Double-digits in last five.
5. Forty-six games in and Jason Kidd has a double-double.
