Fear and loathingI wonder, also, what the puppet general manager Donnie Nelson and head coach Rick Carlisle are thinking when they watch Odom play basketball for the Dallas Mavericks.
I sit here with clenched teeth, emotions ready to explode. I watch a man making millions and millions of dollars go out there and give less than one percent of the effort that Brian Cardinal, Dom Jones and Yi Jianlian -- guys with half the ability -- put out.
Surely there's a point to all of this. Carlisle preaches that players have to earn minutes. We've seen youngsters misused and yanked around by Carlisle because he doesn't babysit. They perform or they sit. They do what he wants them to do or they sit.
I'm OK with that. It inhibits your team long term. But he's won a world championship. So, screw it.
However, how does Carlisle watch Odom eat up 23 MINUTES last night and log ONE POINT and ONE REBOUND.
The Los Angeles Lakers' Josh McRoberts got four rebounds in 10 minutes in their 109-93 whipping of the Mavericks.
Surely there's a point to all of this. I do not assume that Cuban has some sort of end game. I do assume that Cuban and Nelson were basically anally raped in the trade with Los Angeles. It was an ass fucking of epic proportions.
And, no, I do not want to hear any more apologists explain to me that Odom is "showing" more "energy." B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T. And you are retarded if you ever, ever think this way.
Although I don't think Cuban or Nelson have a real answer, I do feel that Carlisle is sort of sticking it to ol' Lamar. I mean, there's ZERO reason why he should have played 23 minutes in the blowout last night and the fact that Odom's vagina is aching due to being dumped by the Lakers, I think Carlisle wanted to rub it in a little. Carlisle's a vindictive dick like that.
I wish Odom were the only problem. He's just the biggest, most excruciatingly terrible problem.
The Mavs were fucked on the boards last night (46-29) buoyed only by Dirk Nowitzki's 10. Jason Kidd and Vince Carter -- in 61 combined minutes grabbed ONE TOTAL REBOUND. IN A HOME GAME. AGAINST THE FUCKING LOS ANGELES LAKERS.

Combined in about 130 total minutes logged seven Mavericks totaled FIVE REBOUNDS. Thanks for the effort, assholes.
Furthermore, the Lakers didn't even have to try. They shot 58 PERCENT from the field ON THE ROAD. This vaunted defense is starting to spring leaks. Time for Mavericks employees to start digging for new stats to tout!
Pau Gasol and Andy Bynum just join the long list of post players eating up the Mavericks. They shot 17-21 from the field. And Bynum (just five shot attempts) was doubled teamed most of the time.
Man, you can't understate Tyson Chandler's presence on this team. We sit here and pretend that he was an island, that he was just one guy that was very good defensively.
That's just a fragment. He made everyone else a great defender. He allowed some of the older guys like Jason Kidd and Shawn Marion to cheat a bit more. He covered up so many pockmarks in Nowitzki's defensive play. It wasn't just about Chandler, but about how much better he made everyone else.
There's too much to dislike about the Mavericks. I'm not saying they are "done." I think they'll make the playoffs. And if that's OK with you, then so be it. I guess I'd rather have a ass-busting team that gives it 100 percent game in and game out no matter what.
