Texas Rangers -- 98-64
I think there's a lot to like here, without sounding too much like a homer. We could be on a precipice of a gigantic year from Matt Harrison and Derek Holland. The rotation could be bombastic and the bullpen could very well be stupefyingly good. A contract year from Josh Hamilton and the rest of the line-up doing what it does. I don't think it's a team on the decline and I don't think it's a team that could give two hoots about the California Angels.

California Angels -- 96-66
The Angels have notable stars. They also have notable holes. It might not matter with that rotation. I don't think they can catch the Rangers.Honestly, that line-up does not scare me in the least and I'm not sure they'll be able to protect Albert Pujols. He's going to be walked a lot. Who wouldn't take their chances with Kendry Morales' glass legs.

Seattle Mariners -- 70-92
The drop-off, she is great. The Mariners have quite the leg up on the Oakland Athletics meaning that they sort of started their rebuilding a year ago. Dustin Ackley and Justin Smoak are going to sink or swing this season and it might prevent the Mariners from being completely embarrassed as opposed to mortifyingly embarrassed. Also, Brandon League turned into a pretty good closer a year ago. Win a lot of games with a good closer.

Oakland Athletics -- 60-102
This thing is a disaster. If "Moneyball" is written about Brian Cashman or Sandy Alderson, does Billy Beane still have a job? The only thing to look forward to is Cuban import Yoenis Cespede. Otherwise, this is a trumped up minor-league team.
