Entering week No. 2 of college football, wondering how Baylor feels about Iowa State being in the Big XII. Oklahoma State 37, Arizona 14
OSU's scored 98 points in two games and averaged 630 yards per game. The Cowboys with an impressive 2-0 start. Justin Blackmon is probably the best wide receiver in the nation. Already 20 catches and 272 yards.
Texas vs. BYU
It's real early, so it's impossible to know what either team is. BYU beat Ole Miss last week, 14-13, and Texas beat up on Rice. BYU is newly independent and has typically been pretty good. Probably not a good chance in Austin.
Missouri vs. Arizona State
The Tigers struggled against Miami (Ohio) a week ago and Arizona State pounded UC-Davis. No telling which teams will show up tonight.
Iowa State vs. Iowa
The big in-state game. The Cyclones will get their hides tanned.
TCU vs. Air Force
Give TCU credit: Scheduling Baylor and Air Force are arguably their toughest games of the year. Air Force is a troublesome opponent. TCU defense needs to pull up its big-boy pants.
SMU vs. UTEP
So, Kyle Padron is your starting quarterback ... until the first game and you jump ship and put in J.T. McDermott like it's no big deal. June Jones, I think, knows what he's doing.
Houston vs. North Texas
The Mean Green will get killed.
Kansas vs. Northern Illinois
Another turn for Turner Gill's trek to bring the Jayhawks to respectability. It's going to happen. Sit back and enjoy the ride.
