Lead them, Kari
The Dallas Stars haven't allowed a goal since the third period last Thursday. The shutout streak continued for another 60 minutes as they blanked the Minnesota Wild, 1-0, behind 25 saves from Kari Lehtonen and Jamie Benn's 21st goal of the season.

This brings the Stars' insane streak to 10-0-1, four points in front of Pacific Division rival Phoenix and sitting with the second-best road record in the Western Conference (behind juggernaut Vancouver).

Nothing's buried. Nothing's done. These things in the NHL turn on a dime. One minute you look completely unbeatable. The next minute you're fighting for your life in ninth place.

What might jerk the Stars out of that trap is its goaltender.

Lehtonen is quietly having a mammoth career year. He's posting career bests in save percentage (.925) and goals-against (2.21), both numbers should simply crush his previous highs. He's also already matched his career high for shutouts (4).

However, it's quality over quantity. Due to injury and increased rest, Lehtonen has played about 1,200 less minutes compared to last year and 20 less games (to date), yet, he's still approaching his career high in wins (34 ... he's at 29 now).
