There are a lot of titles and tags I'd place on Mark Cuban.

Doofus. Dork. Geek. Childish. Douche. Dick. Goof. Twit. Egomaniac.

Those fit.

Homophobe. Not so much.

Cuban made a off-handed remark about Bill Simmons kissing his boyfriend on Kiss-Cam (a personal fav of mine) and now it's a deal. I didn't think it was homophobic. Then again, I'm not gay. I'd like to think I can tell when something is meant to be one thing.

The comment was very Cuban-like. It's not unlike what other people say. "Other people" being sophomores in high school. Again, Cuban should be found guilty of being a big, douchey kid before he's titled a hate-monger. I'd almost prefer the hate-monger to the guy in the tight T-shirt, Beatles haircut doing the Cabbage Patch during timeouts.

Of course, leave it to Cuban to look even more like a douche in his response to the aftermath:

"I think at some level every single one of us is prejudice. There are things we all innately fear or are uncomfortable with."

Thanks, Cubes. Instead of just fucking apologizing, you call everyone an asshole.

"But sometimes what I laugh at isn’t appreciated by others. It may even offend them if it comes out at the wrong time."

See, you're too A) poor or B) mature or C) stupid to really get Cuban's hilarious stand-up routine about guys kissing at a sporting event. It's not his fault that your head is up your ass.

"I guess what I am doing is admitting that at some level I am prejudiced and that I recognize that I am. There are a lot of things in my life that I need to improve at. This is one of them."

Barf. He goes through all this to admit that he is prejudiced. How does he make this shit up? Plus, he could learn how to draft a little better. Mo Ager!

The problem with this lie is that Cuban gives a lot of shit what you think about him. It's why he's attempted (and somewhat achieved) to control the media. It's why he gives to charities. It's why he forks up the cash to keep the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Dallas. Cuban's the dorky kid in high school that no one liked and now that he's filthy rich and owns a basketball team, he wants all the cool kids to love him.

I almost felt sorry for the guy that he was putting up with this bullshit. Maybe he deserves it.
